Jesus in the Bible

Also called Christ, Messiah, Immanuel

Jesus of Nazareth is the centre of the New Testament: born in Bethlehem, raised in Galilee, teaching in parables, healing, crucified under Pontius Pilate and, the Gospels insist, raised on the third day. Every earlier thread in Bible Atlas — covenant, exodus, temple, kingship, prophecy — is read by the New Testament as arriving at him.
