Gospel writer, once the one who turned back · First century AD
Mark in the Bible
Also called John Mark
Mark abandons the first journey at Perga and becomes the reason Paul and Barnabas part company. Years later Paul asks for him: profitable to me for the ministry. His Gospel moves at a run, and tradition ties it to Peter's preaching.
