Corinth in the Bible
A wealthy port city straddling two harbours, Corinth hosts Paul for eighteen months and receives his most practical letters — on divisions, lawsuits, meat, worship, spiritual gifts and resurrection.
Archaeology
The bema where Gallio dismissed the case against Paul survives in the forum, and the Gallio inscription from Delphi dates his proconsulship to AD 51–52, one of the firmest dates in New Testament chronology.
