And it came to pass after310 these things1697, that 5022 the Jezreelite3158 had a vineyard3754, which was in 3157, hard by681 the palace1964 of 256 king4428 of 8111. And 256 spake1696 unto 5022, saying559, Give5414 me thy vineyard3754, that I may have it for a garden1588 of herbs3419, because it is near7138 unto681 my house1004: and I will give5414 thee for it a better2896 vineyard3754 than it; or, if it seem good2896 to thee5869, I will give5414 thee the worth4242 of it in money3701. seem: Heb. be good in thine eyes And 5022 said559 to 256, The LORD3068 forbid2486 it me, that I should give5414 the inheritance5159 of my fathers1 unto thee. And 256 came935 into his house1004 heavy5620 and displeased2198 because of 1697 which 5022 the Jezreelite3158 had spoken1696 to him: for he had said559, I will not give5414 thee the inheritance5159 of my fathers1. And he laid him down7901 upon his bed4296, and turned away5437 his face6440, and would eat398 no bread3899. But 348 his wife802 came935 to him, and said1696 unto him, Why is thy spirit7307 so sad5620, that thou eatest398 no bread3899? And he said1696 unto her, Because I spake1696 unto 5022 the Jezreelite3158, and said559 unto him, Give5414 me thy vineyard3754 for money3701; or else, if it please2655 thee, I will give5414 thee another vineyard3754 for it: and he answered559, I will not give5414 thee my vineyard3754. So she wrote3789 letters5612 in 's256 name8034, and sealed2856 them with his 2368, and sent7971 the letters5612 unto the elders2205 and to the nobles2715 that were in his city5892, dwelling3427 with 5022. And it came to pass, when 348 heard8085 that 5022 was stoned5619, and was dead4191, that 348 said559 to 256, Arise6965, take possession3423 of 3754 of 5022 the Jezreelite3158, which he refused3985 to give5414 thee for money3701: for 5022 is not alive2416, but dead4191. And it came to pass, when 256 heard8085 that 5022 was dead4191, that 256 rose up6965 to go down3381 to 3754 of 5022 the Jezreelite3158, to take possession3423 of it. And 1697 of the LORD3068 came to 452 the Tishbite8664, saying559, Arise6965, go down3381 to meet7125 256 king4428 of 3478, which is in 8111: behold, he is in 3754 of 5022, whither he is gone down3381 to possess3423 it. And 1697 of the LORD3068 came to 452 the Tishbite8664, saying559, Seest7200 thou how 256 humbleth3665 himself before6440 me? because3282 he humbleth3665 himself before6440 me, I will not bring935 the evil7451 in his days3117: but in his son's1121 days3117 will I bring935 the evil7451 upon his house1004.
