2 Samuel 9 — Scripture text (King James Version)

And 1732 said559, Is there yet3426 any that is left3498 of the house1004 of 7586, that I may shew6213 him kindness2617 for 's3083 sake? And there was of the house1004 of 7586 a servant5650 whose name8034 was Ziba6717. And when they had called7121 him unto 1732, the king4428 said559 unto him, Art thou Ziba6717? And he said559, Thy servant5650 is he. And the king4428 said559, Is there not657 yet any376 of the house1004 of 7586, that I may shew6213 the kindness2617 of God430 unto him? And Ziba6717 said559 unto the king4428, 3083 hath yet a son1121, which is lame5223 his feet7272. And the king4428 said559 unto him, Where375 is he? And Ziba6717 said559 unto the king4428, Behold, he is in the house1004 of Machir4353, the son1121 of Ammiel5988, in Lodebar3810. Then king4428 1732 sent7971, and fetched3947 him out of the house1004 of Machir4353, the son1121 of Ammiel5988, from Lodebar3810. Now when Mephibosheth4648, the son1121 of 3083, the son1121 of 7586, was come935 unto 1732, he fell5307 his face6440, and did reverence7812. And 1732 said559, Mephibosheth4648. And he answered559, Behold thy servant5650! And 1732 said559 unto him, Fear3372 not: for I will surely6213 shew6213 thee kindness2617 for 3083 thy father's1 sake, and will restore7725 thee all the land7704 of 7586 thy father1; and thou shalt eat398 bread3899 at my table7979 continually8548. And he bowed7812 himself, and said559, What is thy servant5650, that thou shouldest look6437 upon such a dead4191 dog3611 as I am? Then the king4428 called7121 to Ziba6717, Saul's7586 servant5288, and said559 unto him, I have given5414 unto thy master's113 son1121 all that pertained1961 to 7586 and to all his house1004. Thou therefore, and thy sons1121, and thy servants5650, shall till5647 the land127 for him, and thou shalt bring935 in the fruits, that thy master's113 son1121 may have food3899 to eat398: but Mephibosheth4648 thy master's113 son1121 shall eat398 bread3899 alway8548 at my table7979. Now Ziba6717 had fifteen2568 6240 sons1121 and twenty6242 servants5650. Then said559 Ziba6717 unto the king4428, According to all that my lord113 the king4428 hath commanded6680 his servant5650, so shall thy servant5650 do6213. As for Mephibosheth4648, said the king, he shall eat398 at my table7979, as one259 of the king's4428 sons1121. And Mephibosheth4648 had a young6996 son1121, whose name8034 was Micha4316. And all that dwelt4186 in the house1004 of Ziba6717 were servants5650 unto Mephibosheth4648. So Mephibosheth4648 dwelt3427 in 3389: for he did eat398 continually8548 at the king's4428 table7979; and was lame6455 both8147 his feet7272.
