And 4872 called7121 all 3478, and said559 unto them, Hear8085, O 3478, the statutes2706 and judgments4941 which I speak1696 in your ears241 this day3117, that ye may learn3925 them, and keep8104, and do6213 them. keep: Heb. keep to do them The LORD3068 our God430 made3772 a 1285 with us in Horeb2722. The LORD3068 made3772 not this 1285 with our fathers1, but with us587, even us, who are all of us428 here alive2416 this day3117. The LORD3068 talked1696 with you face6440 to face6440 in the mount2022 out of the midst8432 of the fire784, (I stood5975 between the LORD3068 and you at that time6256, to shew5046 you 1697 of the LORD3068: for ye were afraid3372 by reason6440 of the fire784, and went not up5927 into the mount2022;) saying559, I am the LORD3068 thy God430, which brought thee out3318 of the land776 of 4714, from the house1004 of bondage5650. bondage: Heb. servants Thou shalt have none other312 gods430 before6440 me. And it came to pass, when ye heard8085 the voice6963 out of the midst8432 of the darkness2822, (for the mountain2022 did burn1197 with fire784,) that ye came near7126 unto me, even all the heads7218 of your tribes7626, and your elders2205; And ye said559, Behold, the LORD3068 our God430 hath shewed7200 us his 3519 and his greatness1433, and we have heard8085 his voice6963 out of the midst8432 of the fire784: we have seen7200 this day3117 that God430 doth talk1696 with man120, and he liveth2425. Now therefore why should we die4191? for this great1419 fire784 will consume398 us: if we hear8085 the voice6963 of the LORD3068 our God430 any more3254, then we shall die4191. hear: Heb. add to hear For who is there of all flesh1320, that hath heard8085 the voice6963 of the living2416 God430 speaking1696 out of the midst8432 of the fire784, as we have, and lived2421? Go thou near7126, and hear8085 all that the LORD3068 our God430 shall say559: and speak1696 thou unto us all that the LORD3068 our God430 shall speak1696 unto thee; and we will hear8085 it, and do6213 it. And the LORD3068 heard8085 the voice6963 of your words1697, when ye spake1696 unto me; and the LORD3068 said559 unto me, I have heard8085 the voice6963 of the words1697 of this people5971, which they have spoken1696 unto thee: they have 3190 said all that they have spoken1696. O that there were such2088 an4310 heart3824 in them5414, that they would fear3372 me, and keep8104 all my commandments4687 always3117, that it might be 3190 with them, and with their children1121 for ever5769! Go3212 say559 to them, Get7725 you into your tents168 again7725. But as for thee, stand5975 thou here by me5978, and I will speak1696 unto thee all the commandments4687, and the statutes2706, and the judgments4941, which thou shalt teach3925 them, that they may do6213 them in the land776 which I give5414 them to possess3423 it. Ye shall observe8104 to do6213 therefore as the LORD3068 your God430 hath commanded6680 you: ye shall not turn aside5493 to the right hand3225 or to the left8040. Ye shall walk3212 in all the ways1870 which the LORD3068 your God430 hath commanded6680 you, that ye may live2421, and that it may be 2895 with you, and that ye may prolong748 your days3117 in the land776 which ye shall possess3423.
