And the LORD3068 spake559 unto 4872, Go935 unto 6547, and say559 unto him, Thus saith559 the LORD3068, Let my people5971 go7971, that they may serve5647 me. And if thou refuse3986 to let them go7971, behold, I will smite5062 all thy borders1366 with frogs6854: And the river2975 shall bring forth8317 frogs6854 abundantly8317, which shall go up5927 and come935 into thine house1004, and into thy bedchamber2315 4904, and upon thy bed4296, and into the house1004 of thy servants5650, and upon thy people5971, and into thine ovens8574, and into thy kneadingtroughs4863: kneadingtroughs: or, dough And the frogs6854 shall come up5927 both thee, and upon thy people5971, and upon all thy servants5650. And the LORD3068 spake559 unto 4872, Say559 unto 175, Stretch forth5186 thine hand3027 with thy rod4294 over the streams5104, over the rivers2975, and over the ponds98, and cause frogs6854 to come up5927 upon the land776 of 4714. And 175 stretched out5186 his hand3027 over the waters4325 of 4714; and the frogs6854 came up5927, and covered3680 the land776 of 4714. And the magicians2748 did6213 so with their enchantments3909, and brought up5927 frogs6854 upon the land776 of 4714. Then 6547 called7121 for 4872 and 175, and said559, Intreat6279 the LORD3068, that he may take away5493 the frogs6854 from me, and from my people5971; and I will let the people5971 go7971, that they may do sacrifice2076 unto the LORD3068. And 4872 said559 unto 6547, 6286 over me: when4970 shall I intreat6279 for thee, and for thy servants5650, and for thy people5971, to destroy3772 the frogs6854 from thee and thy houses1004, that they may remain7604 in the river2975 only? : or, Have this honour over me, etc when: or, against when to destroy: Heb. to cut off And he said559, To morrow4279. And he said559, Be it according to thy word1697: that thou mayest know3045 that there is none like unto the LORD3068 our God430. To morrow: or, Against to morrow And the frogs6854 shall depart5493 from thee, and from thy houses1004, and from thy servants5650, and from thy people5971; they shall remain7604 in the river2975 only. And 4872 and 175 went out3318 from 6547: and 4872 cried6817 unto the LORD3068 because of1697 the frogs6854 which he had brought7760 against 6547. And the LORD3068 did6213 according to 1697 of 4872; and the frogs6854 died4191 out of the houses1004, out of the villages2691, and out of the fields7704. And they gathered them together6651 upon heaps2563: and the land776 stank887. But when 6547 saw7200 that there was respite7309, he hardened3513 his heart3820, and hearkened8085 not unto them; as the LORD3068 had said1696. And the LORD3068 said559 unto 4872, Say559 unto 175, Stretch out5186 thy rod4294, and smite5221 the dust6083 of the land776, that it may become lice3654 throughout all the land776 of 4714. And they did6213 so; for 175 stretched out5186 his hand3027 with his rod4294, and smote5221 the dust6083 of the earth776, and it became lice3654 in man120, and in beast929; all the dust6083 of the land776 became lice3654 throughout all the land776 of 4714. And the magicians2748 did6213 so with their enchantments3909 to bring forth3318 lice3654, but they could3201 not: so there were lice3654 upon man120, and upon beast929. Then the magicians2748 said559 unto 6547, This is the finger676 of God430: and 's6547 heart3820 was hardened2388, and he hearkened8085 not unto them; as the LORD3068 had said1696. And the LORD3068 said559 unto 4872, Rise up early7925 in the morning1242, and stand3320 before6440 6547; lo, he cometh forth3318 to the water4325; and say559 unto him, Thus saith559 the LORD3068, Let my people5971 go7971, that they may serve5647 me. Else, if thou wilt not let my people5971 go7971, behold, I will send7971 swarms6157 of flies upon thee, and upon thy servants5650, and upon thy people5971, and into thy houses1004: and the houses1004 of the 4714 shall be full4390 of swarms6157 of flies, and also the ground127 whereon they are. swarms: or, a mixture of noisome beasts, etc And I will sever6395 in that day3117 the land776 of 1657, in which my people5971 dwell5975, that no1115 swarms6157 of flies shall be1961 there; to the end4616 thou mayest know3045 that I am the LORD3068 in the midst7130 of the earth776. And 4872 said559, It is not meet3559 so to do6213; for2005 we shall sacrifice2076 the abomination8441 of the 4714 to the LORD3068 our God430: lo, shall we sacrifice2076 the abomination8441 of the 4714 before their eyes5869, and will they not stone5619 us? We will go3212 three7969 days'3117 journey1870 into the wilderness4057, and sacrifice2076 to the LORD3068 our God430, as he shall command559 us. And 6547 said559, I will let you go7971, that ye may sacrifice2076 to the LORD3068 your God430 in the wilderness4057; only ye shall not go3212 very7368 far away7368: intreat6279 for me1157. And 4872 said559, Behold, I go out3318 from thee, and I will intreat6279 the LORD3068 that the swarms6157 of flies may depart5493 from 6547, from his servants5650, and from his people5971, to morrow4279: but7535 let not 6547 deal deceitfully2048 any more3254 in not1115 letting the people5971 go7971 to sacrifice2076 to the LORD3068. And 4872 went out3318 from 6547, and intreated6279 the LORD3068. And the LORD3068 did6213 according to 1697 of 4872; and he removed5493 the swarms6157 of flies from 6547, from his servants5650, and from his people5971; there remained7604 not one259.
