Then 3130 came935 and told5046 6547, and said559, My father1 and my brethren251, and their flocks6629, and their herds1241, and all that they have, are come out935 of the land776 of 3667; and, behold, they are in the land776 of 1657. And he took3947 some7097 of his brethren251, even five2568 men582, and presented3322 them unto6440 6547. And 6547 said559 unto his brethren251, What is your occupation4639? And they said559 unto 6547, Thy servants5650 are shepherds7462 6629, both we, and also our fathers1. They said559 moreover unto 6547, For to sojourn1481 in the land776 are we come935; for thy servants5650 have no pasture4829 for their flocks6629; for the famine7458 is sore3515 in the land776 of 3667: now therefore, we pray thee, let thy servants5650 dwell3427 in the land776 of 1657. And 6547 spake559 unto 3130, saying559, Thy father1 and thy brethren251 are come935 unto thee: The land776 of 4714 is before thee6440; in the best4315 of the land776 make3427 thy father1 and brethren251 to dwell3427; in the land776 of 1657 let them dwell3427: and if thou knowest3045 3426 any men582 of activity2428 among them, then make them7760 rulers8269 over my cattle4735. And 3130 brought in935 3290 his father1, and set him5975 before6440 6547: and 3290 blessed1288 6547. And 6547 said559 unto 3290, How4100 old2416 3117 8141 art thou? How: Heb. How many are the days of the years of thy life? And 3290 said559 unto 6547, The days3117 of the years8141 of my pilgrimage4033 are an hundred3967 and thirty7970 years8141: few4592 and evil7451 have the days3117 of the years8141 of my life2416 been, and have not attained5381 unto the days3117 of the years8141 of the life2416 of my fathers1 in the days3117 of their pilgrimage4033. And 3290 blessed1288 6547, and went out3318 from before6440 6547. And 3130 placed3427 his father1 and his brethren251, and gave5414 them a possession272 in the land776 of 4714, in the best4315 of the land776, in the land776 of 7486, as 6547 had commanded6680. And when money3701 failed8552 in the land776 of 4714, and in the land776 of 3667, all the 4714 came935 unto 3130, and said559, Give3051 us bread3899: for why should we die4191 in thy presence? for the money3701 faileth656. And 3130 said559, Give3051 your cattle4735; and I will give5414 you for your cattle4735, if money3701 fail656. And they brought935 their cattle4735 unto 3130: and 3130 gave5414 them bread3899 in exchange for horses5483, and for the flocks6629, and for the cattle4735 of the herds1241, and for the asses2543: and he fed5095 them with bread3899 for all their cattle4735 for that year8141. fed: Heb. led them When that year8141 was ended8552, they came935 unto him the second8145 year8141, and said559 unto him, We will not hide3582 it from my lord113, how that our money3701 is spent8552; my lord113 also hath413 our herds4735 of cattle929; there is not ought left7604 in the sight6440 of my lord113, but our bodies1472, and our lands127: Wherefore shall we die4191 before thine eyes5869, both we and our land127? buy7069 us and our land127 for bread3899, and we and our land127 will be servants5650 unto 6547: and give5414 us seed2233, that we may live2421, and not die4191, that the land127 be not desolate3456. And 3130 bought7069 all the land127 of 4714 for 6547; for the 4714 sold4376 every man376 his field7704, because the famine7458 prevailed2388 over them: so the land776 became 's6547. And as for the people5971, he removed5674 them to cities5892 from one end7097 of the borders1366 of 4714 even to the other end7097 thereof. Only the land127 of the priests3548 bought he7069 not; for the priests3548 had a portion2706 assigned them of 6547, and did eat398 their portion2706 which 6547 gave5414 them: wherefore they sold4376 not their lands127. priests: or, princes Then 3130 said559 unto the people5971, Behold, I have bought7069 853 you this day3117 and your land127 for 6547: lo1887, here is seed2233 for you, and ye shall sow2232 the land127. And it shall come to pass in the increase8393, that ye shall give5414 the fifth2549 part unto 6547, and four702 parts3027 shall be your own, for seed2233 of the field7704, and for your food400, and for them of your households1004, and for food398 for your little ones2945. And they said559, Thou hast saved our lives2421: let us find4672 2580 in the sight5869 of my lord113, and we will be 's6547 servants5650. And 3130 made7760 it a law2706 over the land127 of 4714 unto this day3117, that 6547 should have the fifth2569 part; except7535 the land127 of the priests3548 only, which became not 's6547. priests: or, princes And 3478 dwelt3427 in the land776 of 4714, in the country776 of 1657; and they had possessions270 therein, and grew6509, and multiplied7235 exceedingly3966. And 3290 lived2421 in the land776 of 4714 seventeen6240 7651 years8141: so the whole age2416 3117 of 3290 was an hundred3967 forty705 8141 and seven7651 years8141. the whole: Heb. the days of the years of his life And the time3117 drew nigh7126 that 3478 must die4191: and he called7121 his son1121 3130, and said559 unto him, If now I have found4672 2580 in thy sight5869, 7760, I pray thee, thy hand3027 under my thigh3409, and deal6213 kindly2617 and truly571 with me; bury6912 me not, I pray thee, in 4714: But I will lie7901 with my fathers1, and thou shalt carry5375 me out of 4714, and bury6912 me in their buryingplace6900. And he said559, I will do6213 as thou hast said1697. And he said559, Swear7650 unto me. And he sware7650 unto him. And 3478 bowed7812 himself upon the bed's4296 head7218.
