And it came to pass after310 these things1697, that one told559 3130, Behold, thy father1 is sick2470: and he took3947 with him his two8147 sons1121, 4519 and 669. And one told5046 3290, and said559, Behold, thy son1121 3130 cometh935 unto thee: and 3478 strengthened2388 himself, and sat3427 upon the bed4296. And 3290 said559 unto 3130, God410 Almighty7706 appeared7200 unto me at Luz3870 in the land776 of 3667, and blessed1288 me, And said559 unto me, Behold, I will make thee fruitful6509, and multiply7235 thee, and I will make5414 of thee a multitude6951 of people5971; and will give5414 this land776 to thy seed2233 after thee310 for an everlasting5769 possession272. And now thy two8147 sons1121, 669 and 4519, which were born3205 unto thee in the land776 of 4714 before5704 I came935 unto thee into 4714, are mine; as 7205 and 8095, they shall be mine. And thy issue4138, which thou begettest3205 after310 them, shall be thine, and shall be called7121 after5921 the name8034 of their brethren251 in their inheritance5159. And as for me, when I came935 from Padan6307, 7354 died4191 by me in the land776 of 3667 in the way1870, when5750 yet there was but a little3530 way776 to come935 unto Ephrath672: and I buried her6912 there in the way1870 of Ephrath672; the same is 1035. And 3478 beheld7200 's3130 sons1121, and said559, Who are these? And 3130 said559 unto his father1, They are my sons1121, whom God430 hath given5414 me in this place. And he said559, Bring them3947, I pray thee, unto me, and I will bless1288 them. Now the eyes5869 of 3478 were dim3513 for age2207, so that he could3201 not see7200. And his father1 refused3985, and said559, I know3045 it, my son1121, I know3045 it: he also shall become a people5971, and he also shall be great1431: but truly199 his younger6996 brother251 shall be greater1431 than he, and his seed2233 shall become a multitude4393 of nations1471. multitude: Heb. fulness And he blessed1288 them that day3117, saying559, In thee shall 3478 bless1288, saying559, God430 make7760 thee as 669 and as 4519: and he set7760 669 before6440 4519. And 3478 said559 unto 3130, Behold, I die4191: but God430 shall be with you, and bring you again7725 unto the land776 of your fathers1. Moreover I have given5414 to thee one259 portion7926 above thy brethren251, which I took3947 out of the hand3027 of the Amorite567 with my 2719 and with my bow7198.
