Now after310 the death4194 of 3091 it came to pass, that the children1121 of 3478 asked7592 the LORD3068, saying559, Who shall go up5927 for us against the 3669 first8462, to fight3898 against them? And the LORD3068 said559, 3063 shall go up5927: behold, I have delivered5414 the land776 into his hand3027. And 3063 said559 unto 8095 his brother251, Come up5927 with me into my 1486, that we may fight3898 against the 3669; and I likewise will go1980 with thee into thy 1486. So 8095 went3212 with him. And 3063 went up5927; and the LORD3068 delivered5414 the 3669 and the 6522 into their hand3027: and they slew5221 of them in Bezek966 ten6235 thousand505 men376. And they found4672 Adonibezek137 in Bezek966: and they fought3898 against him, and they slew5221 the 3669 and the 6522. But Adonibezek137 fled5127; and they pursued7291 after310 him, and caught270 him, and cut off7112 his thumbs931 3027 and his great toes7272. And Adonibezek137 said559, Threescore and ten7657 kings4428, having their thumbs931 3027 and their great toes7272 cut off7112, gathered3950 their meat under my table7979: as I have done6213, so God430 hath requited7999 me. And it came to pass, when 3478 was strong2388, that they 7760 the 3669 to tribute4522, and did not utterly3423 drive them out3423. Neither did 669 drive out3423 the 3669 that dwelt3427 in 1507; but the 3669 dwelt3427 in 1507 among7130 them. Neither did 2074 drive out3423 the inhabitants3427 of Kitron7003, nor the inhabitants3427 of Nahalol5096; but the 3669 dwelt3427 among7130 them, and became tributaries4522. Neither did 836 drive out3423 the inhabitants3427 of Accho5910, nor the inhabitants3427 of Zidon6721, nor of Ahlab303, nor of Achzib392, nor of Helbah2462, nor of Aphik663, nor of Rehob7340: But the Asherites843 dwelt3427 among7130 the 3669, the inhabitants3427 of the land776: for they did not drive them out3423. Neither did 5321 drive out3423 the inhabitants3427 of Bethshemesh1053, nor the inhabitants3427 of Bethanath1043; but he dwelt3427 among7130 the 3669, the inhabitants3427 of the land776: nevertheless the inhabitants3427 of Bethshemesh1053 and of Bethanath1043 became tributaries4522 unto them.
