And the children1121 of 3478 did6213 evil7451 again3254 in the sight5869 of the LORD3068; and the LORD3068 delivered5414 them into the hand3027 of the 6430 forty705 years8141. did evil: Heb. added to commit, etc And there was a certain259 man376 of Zorah6881, of the family4940 of the Danites1839, whose name8034 was Manoah4495; and his wife802 was barren6135, and bare3205 not. And the angel4397 of the LORD3068 appeared7200 unto the woman802, and said559 unto her, Behold now, thou art barren6135, and bearest3205 not: but thou shalt conceive2029, and 3205 a son1121. Now therefore beware8104, I pray thee, and drink8354 not wine3196 nor strong drink7941, and eat398 not any unclean2931 thing: For, lo, thou shalt conceive2030, and 3205 a son1121; and no razor4177 shall come5927 his head7218: for the child5288 shall be a Nazarite5139 unto God430 from the womb990: and he shall begin2490 to deliver3467 3478 out of the hand3027 of the 6430. Then the woman802 came935 and told559 her husband376, saying559, A man376 of God430 came935 unto me, and his countenance4758 was like the countenance4758 of an angel4397 of God430, very3966 terrible3372: but I asked7592 him not whence he was, neither told5046 he me his name8034: But he said559 unto me, Behold, thou shalt conceive2030, and 3205 a son1121; and now drink7941 no wine3196 nor strong drink8354, neither eat398 any unclean2932 thing: for the child5288 shall be a Nazarite5139 to God430 from the womb990 to the day3117 of his death4194. Then Manoah4495 intreated6279 the LORD3068, and said559, O994 my Lord136, let4994 the man376 of God430 which thou didst send7971 come again935 unto us, and teach3384 us what we shall do6213 unto the child5288 that shall be born3205. And God430 hearkened8085 to the voice6963 of Manoah4495; and the angel4397 of God430 came again935 unto the woman802 as she sat3427 in the field7704: but Manoah4495 her husband376 was not with her. And the angel4397 of the LORD3068 said559 unto Manoah4495, Of all that I said559 unto the woman802 let her beware8104. She may not eat398 of any thing that cometh3318 of the vine1612, neither let her drink8354 wine3196 or strong drink7941, nor eat398 any unclean2932 thing: all that I commanded6680 her let her observe8104. And Manoah4495 said559 unto the angel4397 of the LORD3068, I pray thee, let us detain6113 thee, until we shall have made ready6213 a kid1423 5795 for6440 thee. for thee: Heb. before thee And the angel4397 of the LORD3068 said559 unto Manoah4495, Though thou detain6113 me, I will not eat398 of thy bread3899: and if518 thou wilt offer6213 a 5930, thou must offer5927 it unto the LORD3068. For Manoah4495 knew3045 not that he was an angel4397 of the LORD3068. And Manoah4495 said559 unto the angel4397 of the LORD3068, What is thy name8034, that when thy sayings1697 come to pass935 we may do thee honour3513? And the angel4397 of the LORD3068 said559 unto him, Why askest7592 thou thus after my name8034, seeing it is secret6383 6383? secret: or, wonderful So Manoah4495 took3947 a kid1423 5795 with a meat offering4503, and offered5927 it upon a rock6697 unto the LORD3068: and the angel did6213 wondrously6381; and Manoah4495 and his wife802 looked 7200. For it came to pass, when the flame3851 went up5927 toward heaven8064 from off the altar4196, that the angel4397 of the LORD3068 ascended5927 in the flame3851 of the altar4196. And Manoah4495 and his wife802 looked 7200 it, and fell 5307 their faces6440 to the ground776. But the angel4397 of the LORD3068 did no more3254 appear7200 to Manoah4495 and to his wife802. Then Manoah4495 knew3045 that he was an angel4397 of the LORD3068. And Manoah4495 said559 unto his wife802, We shall surely4191 die4191, because we have seen7200 God430. But his wife802 said559 unto him, If3863 the LORD3068 were pleased2654 to kill4191 us, he would not have received3947 a 5930 and a meat offering4503 at our hands3027, neither would he have shewed7200 us all these things, nor would as at this time6256 have told8085 us such things as these2063. And the woman802 bare3205 a son1121, and called7121 his name8034 8123: and the child5288 grew1431, and the LORD3068 blessed1288 him.
