And the LORD3068 said559 unto 4872, Speak559 unto the priests3548 the sons1121 of 175, and say559 unto them, There shall none be defiled2930 for the dead5315 among his people5971: But for his kin7607, that is near7138 unto him, that is, for his mother517, and for his father1, and for his son1121, and for his daughter1323, and for his brother251, And for his sister269 a virgin1330, that is nigh7138 unto him, which hath had no husband376; for her may he be defiled2930. But he shall not defile2930 himself, being a chief man1167 among his people5971, to profane2490 himself. he: or, being an husband among his people, he shall not defile himself for his wife, etc They shall not make7139 baldness7144 upon their head7218, neither shall they shave off1548 the corner6285 of their beard2206, nor make8295 any cuttings8296 in their flesh1320. They shall be holy6944 unto their God430, and not profane2490 the name8034 of their God430: for the offerings801 of the LORD3068 made by fire801, and the bread3899 of their God430, they do offer7126: therefore they shall be holy6918. They shall not take3947 a wife802 that is a whore2181, or profane2491; neither shall they take3947 a woman802 away1644 from her husband376: for he is holy6918 unto his God430.
