Rachel in the Bible

Jacob works fourteen years for Rachel. She is long childless before Joseph is born, and dies giving birth to Benjamin on the road to Bethlehem. Jeremiah later hears her weeping for exiled children, a line Matthew takes up after the killing at Bethlehem.
